About Our Founder

Nolan Jones has established a distinguished career in aviation and insurance, marked by notable achievements and significant contributions.

The following provides a comprehensive overview of his professional journey:

Mr. Jones began his aviation career in 1972 with the Civil Air Patrol as a cadet, sparking a lifelong dedication to Aviation. After graduating from Philadelphia’s Olney High School in 1975, he received a scholarship to attend the University of Pittsburgh. During his studies, he participated in Detachment 729 of the United States Air Force ROTC, excelled academically, joined the Arnold Air Society, and ultimately served as commander of the detachment’s “A” flight.

Upon earning a Bachelor of General Studies with a minor in Aerospace Studies from the University of Pittsburgh, Lieutenant Jones entered Undergraduate Pilot School in 1980, launching his professional aviation career. He served honorably in the Air Force Reserve and was Honorably discharged in 1987.

While serving in the Air Force Reserve, Mr. Jones became a Special Agent with the Prudential Insurance Company, marketing life insurance in the Philadelphia area. In the late 1980s, he transitioned into property and casualty insurance, managing a major office near Northeast Philadelphia Airport for Atlas Insurance. He skillfully combined his expertise as a property and casualty specialist with his role as a Certificated Flight Instructor throughout the ensuing years.

His aviation career progressed further when he joined American Eagle Airline as a jet pilot at the turn of the century, serving as Captain on domestic and international routes aboard the Embraer Jet. Mr. Jones retired from airline service in 2013.

Mr. Jones holds Insurance industry credentials including Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter, Certified Aviation Insurance Professional, and associate in risk management designations. Additionally, he currently serves as an International Principal Operations Inspector, overseeing operations, operational Risk management and regulatory compliance for 80 foreign airlines to ensure adherence to rigorous aviation safety standards.

Dedicated to youth education and community involvement, Mr. Jones continues to volunteer actively, presently holding the position of Captain and Aerospace Education Officer in the Civil Air Patrol, thereby Continually making substantial contributions to the Aviation community.
